JBNZ Heritage Trust

The Jet Boating New Zealand Heritage Trust works to preserve the history of jet boating — a quintessentially New Zealand invention — for future generations. The Trust collates donated materials and information, supports the public display of jet boating history, and offers owners of historic boats a consistent framework and support for their restoration projects. Its management committee is made up of experienced jet boaters, and its featured heritage projects include Aurora, built in 1955 as the first waterjet-powered boat in the North Island, and work connected to Bill Hamilton's pioneering development of the modern jet boat.
