In 1995 Eve Wallace bought the lambskin division from the family business, Lynn River Ltd, situated in Geraldine, South Canterbury. She named the business Four Peaks Gloves after the local mountain range. Eve built a strong business employing local workers until she sold it in 2019. The business is still situated in Geraldine, employing local workers and supplying products around the world. Since then it has undergone some small changes and rebranded to Four Peaks Leather, which it remains today.
While hand-stitched lambskin gloves remain an integral part of the business, we have branched out into children's wear, fashion accessories and furnishings.
All our products are made by skilled workers in New Zealand, using New Zealand possum fur, New Zealand and European lambskin, calf hide and deer leather.
Our company is creative, innovative and flexible. We can deal with unique, one-off projects, and also have the resources and manufacturing ability to deliver large-volume orders. We encourage clients to collaborate with us in developing a product.
We have worked successfully with interior designers and architects in New Zealand and internationally. Our company prides itself on using top-quality New Zealand and European materials.
