This travel show is targeted to the 170,000 ethnic Chinese living in the Auckland region. This is the 3rd year with each year getting bigger; last year attracting 10,000+ visitors over the two days. The Expo connects the ethnic Chinese living in New Zealand with companies offering activities, attractions, accessories and holidays throughout NZ and internationally.
The Chinese demographic is a niche group with time and disposable income having a major impact on the tourism industry. Independent Chinese travellers are a growing population with increased spending power. Of those travelling internationally the past year, the Kiwi Chinese community accounted for 20% of travellers.
This show provides a platform to sponsor or exhibit by capitalising on these trends targeting the ethnic Chinese living in NZ that can produce immediate results when they use social media to share their photos and experiences among their family and friends in NZ and overseas.
